Test Principle

The CRP Latex test is based on an antigen-antibody latex agglutination reaction. Latex particles coated with antibodies specific to human CRP react with CRP present in the patient's serum. A visible agglutination reaction indicates a reactive result. Semi-quantitative determination can be performed using appropriate specimen dilutions according to the manufacturer's instructions.
